Le monde de la NBA réagit au décès de Rasual Butler : un nice guy qui a laissé des bons souvenirs partout

La terrible nouvelle a été rapportée par TMZ : Rasual Butler ainsi que son épouse, Leah LaBelle Vladowski ont perdu la vie hier soir à Los Angeles, 2h30 heure locale, suite à un accident de voiture. L’ancien sniper aurait perdu le contrôle de son véhicule, les images de son Range Rover sont aussi tristes qu’impressionnantes. Ce baroudeur, drafté par le Heat en 2002 et ayant connu par la suite 7 autres franchises avant de se retirer en 2016 avec les Spurs, a laissé un bon souvenir partout où il est passé. Les témoignages venant des 4 coins de la NBA sont en tout cas unanimes sur l’image du natif de Philadelphie.

Rasual and i my rookie year in Miami. This was my first public appearance and i was nervous to go along—So Sual joined to make it easier on me. Rasual was a great teammate, professional, and friend. I only played with him a short time but his voice was always one you could rely on for a positive message and encouragement. His smile and his energy was always present and it’s what I’ll forever remember about him. Terrible to hear about him and his wife passing this morning. Rasual Butler est décédé à 38 ans, son épouse en avait 31, le couple n’avait pas eu d’enfants auparavant, mais la chanteuse de R&B avait une fille, prénommée Raven, qu’elle avait eu au cours d’une précédente relation. Elle avait même choisi d’adopter le nom de famille de l’ancien Heat, qui lui avait laissé un message émouvant sur Instagram il y a quelques jours. Butler a laissé une trace indélébile dans la tête des coéquipiers qu’il a pu croiser au cours de sa carrière longue de 13 saisons… Rest In Peace, Rasual.
