C’est malheureusement officiel, Paul Pierce est à la retraite. Après un nouveau choke des Clippers, The Truth a donc terminé son immense carrière sur un Game 7 foiré à domicile. Si cette fin est forcément triste pour l’un des meilleurs joueurs et l’une des plus grandes bouches de sa génération, elle ne doit en rien faire oublier ses sublimes années passées dans la ligue. Les autres joueurs le savent et rendent leurs plus beaux hommages en 140 caractères.

Comme quoi, toutes les meilleures choses ont une fin… C’est triste mais c’est malheureusement la vérité. Et si sa carrière s’est terminée avec une pointe d’amertume, elle n’est qu’une goutte d’eau dans un océan de plaisir que PP34 nous aura offert tout au long de ces 19 saisons, lors desquelles il a arpenté les différents parquets NBA.
